Who runs this site

The MR2 Bible is an independent reference project. It is not affiliated with Toyota Motor Corporation or any specialist retailer. It collects no personal information for marketing purposes and does not sell user data.

What we collect

Stored on your device only

Two preferences are stored in your browser's local storage so your settings persist between visits. Both are strictly necessary for the site to remember choices you make:

• mr2-theme — light or dark display preference.
• mr2-thumb-rotated — whether landscape manual pages are displayed rotated for upright reading.

These are not cookies and are not transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can clear them at any time through your browser's site-data controls.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare logs standard request data — IP address, user agent string, URL requested, response status, timestamp — for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not access these logs routinely. Cloudflare's own retention and use is governed by their privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Analytics

Aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics may be enabled to understand which pages are most useful. When enabled, this will be either Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking) or Google Analytics 4 (cookies, requires your consent via the cookie notice). The Cookies page documents exactly what is set when each is active.

Advertising and affiliate links

The MR2 Bible currently runs no display advertising and no affiliate-link rewriting. Outbound links to specialist retailers go directly to the merchant — the URL the user sees is the URL the user follows. No commission is collected on any onward purchase.

What we don't collect

• No user accounts. There is nothing to register for.
• No comments, submissions or message boards on the public site.
• No newsletter sign-up, no email capture.
• No location-derived content beyond the standard region information that any web server can infer from an IP address (used by Cloudflare for routing only).

Third parties we rely on

• Cloudflare — DNS, hosting, edge caching.
• Google Fonts — typeface delivery from Google's CDN. Loading a Google Font discloses your IP to Google. We use this for typography reasons; alternatives are noted in our build notes if this changes.
• Google Analytics 4 — site analytics, if enabled in place of Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data we hold about you. In our case we do not hold personal data — there is no user database, no email list, no profile. If you have an enquiry about data Cloudflare or Google may hold relating to your visit, contact those companies directly at the privacy links above.
